Tour Description
Experience the best of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Your small group youth adventure tour begins with an air-conditioned coach journey from Cairns to Port Douglas along the Great Barrier Reef Drive. With an abundance of palm-fringed beaches and blue ocean, this drive was voted as one of the most scenic in Ausralia.
Get up close to a range of iconic Australian animals in their recreated natural environments at the award-winning Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas. Explore five unique ecosystems; rainforest, wetlands, savannah, nocturnal and woodlands. Hand-feed wallabies and kangaroos and get up close to emus. Walk the world’s first Predator Plank over Estaurine Crocodile filled waters and get up close to this mighty apex predator.
Visit the brand-new Nocturnal Habitat and see allusive nocturnal animals, including Striped Possums and Mahogany Gliders under a makeshift star-dotted sky. See the endangered Cassowary and Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo and meet a range of cheeky birds.
Cross the mighty Daintree River on the cable-driven ferry to Cape Tribulation and travel further and further into the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest, which is the oldest in the world. Upon arrival in Cape Tribulation, enjoy a Tropical Lunch.
Journey into the world’s oldest rainforest on a guided rainforest walk. Your guide will teach you about some of the incredible flora and fauna that makes the Daintree Rainforest so unique. With gardens of endless Licuala Fan Palms and unique prehistoric-looking flora, the boardwalk makes for perfect photo opportunities.
Visit Cape Tribulation Beach and see the only place in the world where two world heritage sites meet; the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage Rainforest, meet.
Travel south and make a few comfort pit stops, before stopping at Alexandra Range Lookout. This stunning lookout offers sweeping views of endless rainforest, and the Daintree River snaking through the land and out to the coral Sea.
Hop on-board a Daintree River Cruise and explore this unique mangrove ecosystem. Look out for wild Estaurine Crocodiles basking in their natural habitats, snakes, birds and more. Learn about these giant apex predators and the environment in which they live.
Return to Port Douglas, Northern Beaches or Cairns accommodation on a deluxe, air-conditioned coach.
